The goal here was to come up with a graphic that came as close to the 1984 Olympics logo as possible without actually getting sued. I sketched a runner with a torch, and styled the stripes in a way similar to the ’84 stars logo. We originally experimented with using the Olympic rings colors in the stripes, but decided it looked too rasta. The classic red white and blue worked out much better.
